Blooming

Sitting out in the garden is so relaxing that I forgets that I’m in the middle of NYC, well Brooklyn, but still… Preparing to open the garden for the season is one of my favorite things to do. It’s been a ritual of mine for the last 6 years. It starts with early trips to buy new plants, get the furniture ready, hang the string lights, trim the tree, and watch the vines that cover the building turn green.

Almost every one that comes to Oak in the warm months prefer to sip their wine in the patio, of course! Just look at our ginormous fig tree and you’ll see why. It drapes over the yard giving a lot of shade while the sun rays pierce through it. It’s a really nice patio with the flowers in bloom, away from all the noise and hidden in the back of our long dining room. An oasis I’d say.

To make it even better we have selected a wide variety of wines that exude ‘summer’. Fresh, crisp and full of tropical fruit notes. Our wines pair perfectly well with the new spring/summer menu, specially when dining al fresco. Summer hours are from 4 to 11 weekdays and 5 to midnight on the weekends. Join us. Book your party. Make yourself at home. We love to have you here.
