Hi, I’m Paula. I love wine, food and traveling- like most of us. I’ve earned my WSET Diploma in 2018 after studying at IWC for many years.  I also have a formal culinary training from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. I came to NYC in ’95 and from day one I was in the hospitality industry, which culminated with me running my own restaurant and wine bar. After a beautiful 10 year run I continue to be one lucky gal as my job is to buy great wines for a great bunch. In Vino Felicitas!

Inspired by Italian cantinas and French bistros, OAK is an intimate restaurant and wine bar located in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Since 2007 OAK has been owned and operated by husband and wife team of Sommeliers – Renato and Paula, also a trained chef. OAK’ seasonal menu is rustic, home-like and prepared simply and naturally using only the best quality ingredients. We support small, local and international purveyors with a long established history.
