Hi, I’m Paula Maia*, Sommelier and co-owner of Oak Wine Bar located in Williamsbug, Brooklyn. I’ve been in New York’s food and wine industry for the last 17 years. During this time I had the opportunity to visit numerous wine regions and meet with incredibly talented winemakers around the globe. Inspired by their stories and the wines that they make, I created Brooklyn Soil, a Brooklyn-based company specialized in three distinct wine services.
Wine for the People offers a variety of wine tasting events for business and private occasions; Wine for the Trade is designed to create an effective and dynamic wine program for restaurants and bars; Wine from the Vine directly works with wineries worldwide to help establish their presence in the States;

Oak Wine Bar focus on wines that express their place of origin; soil, climate and the whole vine environment that the French call terroir. At Oak, we offer over 30 local and international wines by the glass accompanied by fresh, market and garden seasonal foods with an emphasis on local and organic ingredients.
You’ll find us at 361 Graham Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11211We’re open daily from 5pm – 11pm. On Friday and Saturday nights we go until midnight.
